Do you have a child who loves to write and would enjoy advice and tips from an established author? A child reluctant to write that you'd love to see become enthusiastic?

Book author Sigmund Brouwer for an in-person Story Ninja workshop, where your at-home learners will be motivated to write long after the workshop ends.

With purpose driven writing, students — and attending parents — gain a valuable new perspective to apply to all of their writing — essays, reports, personal narratives.

They will learn the Story Ninja approach to create great content, how to write without fear of mistakes or judgement, and leave with an understanding that writing is an amazing tool to will serve them all through school and the rest of their lives.

For the best of both worlds — in-person and virtual — each Story Ninja workshop includes a follow-up on-line lesson unit that students can choose from The Young Writer's Institute. Students also receive a signed book from Sigmund Brouwer as part of the registration fee.

To set up a workshop for your local group, all you need to do is email to arrange a date and find a place to host the event. You’ll receive a registration link to share with interested parents. It’s that simple!

Workshops are 2.5 hours long in an afternoon or evening, for a range of students from grades 3-9. (And yes, the format works perfectly for a group of students of different ages and writing skills!)

The registration fee is $40 per student, but may vary depending on travel costs. (We do our best to arrange school presentations in the area at the same time to keep travel costs to a minimum.)

Also, you are welcome to follow up an afternoon workshop with a parent workshop that evening.

  • "Two of my boys were in your class tonight. The boys loved the writing workshop! You had a great visual presentation and were very encouraging. One went there nervous because he said he didn’t know how to write and tonight he came home and wants to be an author. Thank you for coming and taking the time to inspire the boys!"
